About Goa Kunbi Saree

The Kunbi sari is Goa's oldest weave — a short, sturdy checked cotton in red and white worn knotted by the Kunbi farming women long before Portuguese arrival. Once nearly lost, it has been revived as a symbol of Goan identity.
