Getting started
Who can sell on VedikCraft?
Artisans, weavers, family workshops and craft clusters who make genuine Indian handicraft. Each supplier account is locked to a single craft category and region.
How do I apply?
Register at seller.vedikcraft.com, tell us about your craft, and we'll verify you. See how it works for the full flow.
What do I need to apply?
A government-issued ID, your bank or UPI details for payouts, your GSTIN if you have one (not required for everyone), and a few clear photos of your pieces.
Pricing & payments
How much commission does VedikCraft take?
None — 0%. You're a supplier, not a commission-paying seller. You receive 100% of the price you list.
Are there any fees at all?
No. There is no commission, no listing fee, no payment or transaction fee, no subscription, and no payout fee. We charge you nothing. See pricing & fees.
So how does VedikCraft make money?
We add our own margin on top of your price and set the retail price the customer pays. That margin is the marketplace's — it's never deducted from what you receive.
What price do I actually get?
Exactly the price you list. If you list at ₹1,000, you receive ₹1,000 per unit sold — your listed price × quantity. See the worked example.
When and how am I paid?
Payouts are settled manually by our team to your bank or UPI on a regular schedule, with no payout fees. See payouts for detail. [TODO: confirm payout cycle.]
Products & authenticity
Do I have to fill in GI or HS codes?
No. GI status, region and provenance auto-fill from your craft, and HS codes for shipping are handled by us. You just enter your craft and your price.
Can I sell more than one craft?
Each account is locked to one craft category to keep provenance trustworthy for buyers. If you practise more than one distinct craft, talk to us first.
What can't I list?
Mass-produced, counterfeit or imported imitation goods, anything infringing IP or GI rights, and anything unlawful or unsafe. See seller policies.
Orders & fulfilment
Who handles shipping and customs?
We handle reach, retail pricing, payments and customs paperwork (including HS codes) across India and worldwide. You prepare and dispatch the piece within your stated handling time, with our packaging guidance.
What about returns and refunds?
We manage buyer-facing returns, refunds and cancellations. You honour them for issues caused by the product or fulfilment, per the seller terms.
Account
Can my application be declined?
Sellers are approved before going live, and we may decline an application at our discretion to keep the marketplace genuine. See seller policies.
Can I close my account?
Yes, at any time. Pending obligations — delivering accepted orders and receiving any owed payouts — continue to apply. See the seller terms.
