About this collection

This page holds 17 bowl sets from ₹1,005, with bowls 1 to 3.5 inch tall, sold in sets of 2 up to 13. Twelve sets are silver plated brass, 3 are aluminium and 2 are pure brass without plating. The whole range tops out at ₹5,855.

Count the pieces and the purpose. The 3.5 inch ice cream bowls come in sets of 4, 6 and 13, so match the set to the number of guests you usually serve. Sets of 2 and 3 packed in a velvet box are gift sets for dry fruit and mithai, and they are the ones to pick for a wedding or Diwali present. The aluminium sets are large nested serving bowls, listed at 12 and 16 inch, for fruit or for a buffet. Set weights run from 300 g to 3.72 kg, which tells you quickly whether the bowls are light or solid.

Silver plating is a thin layer over brass. Serve dry snacks, sweets and ice cream in it, wash by hand with mild soap, and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid lemon, vinegar and rough scrubbers, which strip the plating.
