About this collection
This page holds 16 small Krishna idols from ₹335, all under 4 inch, with the tallest at 3.7 inch. Fifteen are pure brass and one is aluminium. They weigh from 80 g to 1.5 kg and are made in Moradabad.
There are two forms here and they are kept differently. Krishna with the flute stands on a base and is placed like any other murti: on a desk, a shelf, or a dashboard. For a car, choose a standing piece with a flat base, fix it on a non-slip pad and keep it low on the dashboard. Laddu Gopal is the crawling child form, and families who keep him treat him as a child of the house, with daily bath, clothes and bhog. He is sold by weight as much as by height, so you will see listings named 160 g, 280 g and 480 g next to the 1.5, 2 and 3 inch ones. If you plan to dress him, note the weight and height from the listing before you buy clothes or a singhasan.
A Laddu Gopal that is bathed every day must be dried every day. Pat him dry with a soft cloth after snan, including under the arms and the base, or the brass will spot.
