About this piece
Heavier than its sister stand, this iron agarbatti stand weighs 240 grams and stands 3.5 inches high. Its polished iron body is made in Moradabad, and the broad base keeps it steady on a wooden puja chowki. It holds a dhoop cone or loban comfortably.
Keep the stand dry and clear ash from the tray after each use. A thin coat of oil protects the iron through the monsoon. It is a dependable choice for a dhoop dani on a home altar.
The craft
Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.
Sand cast, hand engraved, lacquer finished.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
Care, shipping and returns
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
