About this piece

This smaller brass glass for Diwali is 6.5 inches high and weighs 380 grams. Made from pure brass in Moradabad with an antique finish, it suits a festive thali or a gift set. The rim is smooth for easy drinking.

Rinse with warm water and dry fully. Avoid leaving acidic drinks in it for long. It is a warm gift for a wedding or Bhai Dooj.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
