About this piece
The smallest of the Shiv jaldhara range, this brass piece stands 8.2 inches high and weighs 1,040 grams. It is polished by hand in Moradabad and holds the abhishek water without splashing. The compact size suits a shelf-top temple.
Rinse and dry after each use. Wipe the spout clean to keep the water flowing. A pure brass jaldhara like this is a thoughtful gift for a Shiv devotee or a Mahashivratri offering.
The craft
Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.
Sand cast, hand engraved, lacquer finished.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
Care, shipping and returns
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
Arrived damaged or not as described? Send a photo on WhatsApp or email within 48 hours of delivery and we send a replacement at our cost. International orders cannot be cancelled or returned once shipped. Full international terms.
