Brass Hanuman Idols (Hanuman Ji Ki Murti)
Hanuman ji ki murti · Bajrangbali · Panchmukhi Hanuman · Maruti · pital ki murti
About these pieces
Hanuman ji in the forms most homes ask for: standing with the gada, seated in blessing, carrying the mountain and Panchmukhi. Fifty-eight are brass and six are aluminium. Sizes run from about 2.5 inch to 17 inch, and weights from 120 g to about 9.9 kg.
For a home mandir shelf, 4 to 5.5 inch is the common size; idols of 5 and 5.5 inch here weigh around 380 to 400 g and are easy to lift for cleaning. A 9.5 inch idol needs a chowki and a taller shelf. The 17 inch size is for a temple, a gym, an akhara or a large pooja room. Decide the form by your family's worship: Panchmukhi Hanuman is often chosen for the main door or the mandir, and the blessing pose for daily puja.
Many devotees offer sindoor and chameli oil to Hanuman ji on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sindoor and oil stain brass over time, so wipe the idol with a soft cloth afterwards and wash it with plain water when it builds up.
