A metal mandir is a small temple with a dome and pillars that frames the idols inside it. 11 are pure brass and 3 are aluminium. Dome shapes include round and triangle, and a few have the deity cast in.
Measure before you order. You need the height of your tallest idol, the width of the shelf or table, and some clear space above the dome. The large round-dome mandirs come in several heights, so match the size to the idol instead of buying the biggest. Weight goes up to about 12.2 kg at the top of the range. A mandir that heavy needs a solid table or a stone shelf, not a light wall bracket.
Diya smoke and incense leave a film on the inside of the dome. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth every week so it does not bake on.
