Brass Mahabharat Stand Diyas
About this collection
A Mahabharat stand diya is a tall brass lamp on a stand, bought for a temple, a large pooja room or a public puja space. The height is much greater than a home diya, so the stand must suit the floor where it will stand. Weights rise steeply with height, so check the kilogram figure on each listing before you plan the base.
Place the stand on a firm, level floor, away from walls and curtains. Fill the lamp with ghee or pooja oil to the level it holds, and keep the wick centred. Clean the soot with warm water and soap, and dry the brass fully.
Good to know
Does a tall stand diya need a firm floor?
Yes, the taller stands are heavy, so a firm, level floor is essential.
Which oil suits a stand diya?
Ghee or a pooja oil suits a brass deepak; fill it only to the level the lamp can hold.
How is the soot cleaned?
Soak in warm water with soap, scrub with a soft brush and dry it fully before lighting again.
