Curios, 8 to 15 inch, Under ₹5,000
About this collection
Curios from 8 to 15 inch under this band are decorative brass pieces for a living room, a shelf or a display cabinet, where their shape is the feature. The group includes ships with covered boxes and other display pieces, so the shape decides the look. The thing that matters most is the base: a piece with a wooden base needs a level surface, and the weight tells you how solid the piece is.
Most pieces are brass, with one in wood and one in aluminium, and each listing names the metal. Dust the piece with a soft brush, wipe it with a dry cloth, and keep any wooden base dry. Lift it by the base, not the thin parts.

Good to know
Where should a brass ship curio be displayed?
A display cabinet or a living room shelf suits a curio of this height, where the shape can be seen. Check the weight on the listing before choosing a shelf.
Is a covered box curio heavy?
Weights vary within this range, so check the listing before placing it. A heavier piece has more metal in it.
How should the thin parts be cleaned?
Use a soft brush for the fine parts and a dry cloth for the body. Keep any wooden base away from water.
