About this piece

This Ganesh ji idol is 9.5 inches high and weighs 5,400 grams. Cast from pure brass with a stone and colour-work finish, it suits a pooja room altar. The trunk and crown are finished with fine detail.

Dust with a soft cloth and keep the idol dry. Avoid harsh cleaners on the stone and colour work. It is a fitting gift for Ganesh Chaturthi or a new home.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Care, shipping and returns

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
