About this piece

This set of two bowls, packed in a velvet box, weighs 700 grams and is silver plated. Polished and made in Moradabad, the bowls nest together. They suit sweets or a festive serving.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Yes with kalai (tin lining) on cookware, which our kadhais and handis carry. Avoid cooking tomato, tamarind or lemon in uncoated brass. Glasses and thalis are safe for water and dry food.
