Brass Idols Under ₹5,000 (₹2,500 to ₹5,000)

This budget is almost entirely brass, and it buys two different things. One is height. There is a 6 inch Sai Baba, a 7.5 inch Durga Maa, Ganesh at 8.4 inch, Hanuman Ji at 8.5 inch, a Kamakhya form of Durga Maa at 9.5 inch and a Ganesh wall hanging at 8.8 inch. The other is weight in a small size. A Vishnu with Laxmi here stands only 3.2 inch and weighs 980 g, which is a dense, solid casting. So do not sort by height alone. A short heavy idol and a tall lighter one can cost the same.

Weights on this page run from 130 g to 2.1 kg. For a home mandir with a chowki, the 5 to 7.5 inch idols fit well. The 8 inch and taller pieces are better on a platform in a pooja room, with a few inches clear above the crown.
