About this piece
This brass farsa is 33.5 inches tall and weighs 1,940 grams. It is polished and made in Moradabad from pure brass, sized for a corner of a puja room or a hall. The upright piece is light enough to move with care.
Dust with a soft cloth and keep it dry. Lemon and salt clear tarnish; rinse and dry at once. It is a useful gift for a puja room or a temple.
The craft
Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
Care, shipping and returns
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
