About this piece

This Krishna ji idol with flute is 17.5 inches tall and weighs 5,530 grams. Cast from pure brass and polished in Moradabad, it has a two-tone finish for a temple entrance. The flute and crown are finished with fine detail.

Keep the idol dry and dust with a soft cloth. Clean tarnish with lemon and salt, then rinse and dry fully. It is a grand gift for Janmashtami or a temple.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
