Wall Hangings Above ₹5,000
About this collection
Wall hangings in this higher band are chosen for a living room, a pooja room or an entrance, where a plate or panel is seen rather than placed. At this price the pieces tend to be large, heavy or finely worked, so the weight and the fixing matter as much as the size. The thing that matters most is the wall: check that it can carry the weight before you choose.
Most pieces are brass, with a few in aluminium, and each listing names the metal and gives the weight. Dust the surface with a soft brush, wipe with a dry cloth, and keep the metal dry near damp walls.
Good to know
How do I know a wall hanging can take its weight?
Check the weight on the listing and compare it with the wall and fixing you plan to use. A heavy plate needs a firm wall.
Is a brass wall hanging a good choice for a living room?
Brass suits a living room where the piece is seen at eye level and cleaned now and then. Check the size on the listing so it fits the wall.
How should a brass wall piece be cleaned?
Dust with a soft brush and wipe with a dry cloth. Use mild soap only for marks, and dry it fully before hanging it back.
