About this piece

This brass akhand diya is 1.7 inches high and weighs 70 grams. Made in Moradabad from pure brass and polished, it is small enough for a puja tray. The bowl holds a lamp steadily.

Empty the oil and wipe with a dry cloth after use. Clean soot with lemon and salt. It is a light gift for a daily puja.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Care, shipping and returns

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.

Dispatch in 2 working days from the hub. Delivery in 4 to 7 days across India, free over ₹999. Pay by UPI, card or netbanking, or choose cash on delivery with ₹99 paid online to confirm.

7 day returns. Damaged or not as described: full refund, pickup on us. Changed your mind: full refund minus ₹99 pickup.

Good to know

All Diyas and Deepaks
How long does a brass diya burn?
A small diya holds about an hour of ghee or oil; deep cups of 100 ml burn six to eight hours with a thick cotton wick.
Which oil should I use?
Ghee in the mandir, sunflower or sesame oil elsewhere. Mustard oil burns well outdoors but blackens the rim.
How do I clean oil residue?
Soak ten minutes in hot water with dish liquid, scrub the cup with a soft brush, rub with lemon and salt, rinse and dry fully before storing.
Can I reuse it every Diwali?
Yes. Cast brass diyas do not soak oil or crack; the same set comes out every year.
Do sets ship together?
Yes, sets ship in one carton within two working days. COD is available across India.
Is 1.7 inch usable for a diya?

At 1.7 inch it holds a small wick and oil for a daily lamp.

Is 70 g steady?

At 70 g it is very light, so place it on a steady surface.
