About this piece

This second aluminium shankh for pooja, a Shank Ganesh form, is 2 inches high and weighs 160 grams. It is polished in Moradabad and sized for a puja tray. The shell is finished neatly.

Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep the shell dry. Avoid harsh cleaners on aluminium. It is a simple gift for a family puja. It also suits a Shravan puja.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Care, shipping and returns

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.

Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
