About this piece
This brass hanuman gada, or mace, for pooja weighs 700 grams. It is polished and made in Moradabad from pure brass, and built for a puja tray or a home mandir. The shaft is finished evenly.
Dust with a dry cloth after each puja and keep it dry. Clean tarnish with lemon and salt, then rinse. It is a fitting gift for Hanuman Jayanti.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
