About this piece
This wall plate is 7.5 inches high and weighs 1,220 grams, polished and made in Moradabad. The round shape hangs well above a sofa or beside a doorway. It adds a warm metal accent to a room without needing a large space.
Dust gently with a dry cloth and keep it away from damp. Use lemon and salt for tarnish, rinse, and dry at once. A good choice for a hallway or a small pooja corner.
The craft
Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.
Sand cast, hand engraved, lacquer finished.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
Care, shipping and returns
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
