About this piece
This iron agarbatti stand for loban dan is 3 inches high and weighs 180 grams. It is made in Moradabad from iron and polished. The stand keeps ash off the puja table while the incense burns.
Wipe dry after each use and keep it away from water. Light oil on the iron stops rust in the monsoon. It is a fitting gift for a new home.
The craft
Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.
Sand cast, hand engraved, lacquer finished.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
Care, shipping and returns
Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.
Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
