About this piece
This Radha Krishna idol stands 6 inches high and weighs 1,000 grams. Cast from pure brass and polished in Moradabad, it suits a home mandir and a daily puja. The two figures are finished together on one base.
Wipe with a soft cloth and keep it away from damp. Lemon and salt take off tarnish; rinse and dry fully. It is a loving gift for a wedding or Janmashtami.

Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
