About this collection
This page holds 8 Shiv Parvati and Parvati idols from ₹470, in heights from 2.3 to 12.5 inch. 7 are brass and 1 is an aluminium wall hanging. It is a small set with two kinds of piece: Shiv Ji shown together with Parvati, and Parvati Mata on her own.
Decide first which one you need. If you want the couple as one murti, look at the pieces named Shiv Ji Idol (Parvati), in 5.2, 9 and 11.5 inch. If you already have a Shivling or a Shiv idol and want Parvati Mata beside it, the single Parvati idols come in 2.3, 3, 4 and 12.5 inch. Match her height to the idol she will sit next to, and keep her a little shorter than or equal to the Shiv idol so the two look like a pair. The 9 inch aluminium piece hangs on the wall and shows Shiv with Parvati and the moon. Weights run from 110 g to 7.1 kg, and each listing states its own.
If you bathe the idol during puja, dry it afterwards. Milk and water left in the folds of the casting are what turn brass dark and patchy.
