About this piece

This Ashok Stambh lath statue is 6.5 inches high and weighs 1,540 grams. Cast from pure brass and polished in Moradabad, it is a formal piece for an office desk or a study. The pillar and capital are finished with clear detail.

Dust with a dry cloth and keep the statue on a level base. Clean tarnish gently with lemon and salt, then rinse and dry fully. It is a suitable gift for an office or a school.

How it is made

Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.

Care, shipping and returns

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from detergents and damp. Handmade pieces vary slightly in finish, that is the point.

Dispatch in 1 to 3 working days from India by tracked courier. Shipping is charged by parcel weight and shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes, if any, are collected by the courier on delivery.
