About this piece
This Laxmi, Ganesh, and Saraswati murti pair is 8 inches high and weighs 5,400 grams. Cast from pure brass and polished in Moradabad, it suits a pooja room altar. The three figures are finished together.
Keep the pair dry and dust with a soft cloth. Clean tarnish with lemon and salt, then rinse and dry fully. It is a fitting gift for Diwali or a new home.

Moradabad. Cast, hammered and lacquered by hand, for three hundred years.

How it is made
Brass is melted and poured into sand moulds, cooled, then turned on a lathe to true the shape. Engravers cut the pattern by hand with a hammer and chisel. The piece is polished on a buffing wheel and sealed with a clear lacquer so it stays bright without weekly cleaning.
